We are excited to share the latest news about Oracle NetSuite naming International Materials, Inc. (IMI) and Myers-Holum for the Alliance Partner Spotlight Award in Wholesale Distribution. The NetSuite Alliance Partner Spotlight Award for Winter 2022 recognizes IMI and Myers-Holum for outstanding expertise and customizations as well as demonstrated commitment to, and success in, implementing NetSuite.

“It is impressive to see the full transformation that IMI has experienced in the last two years with the roll-out of NetSuite. The key to the success of this project can be attributed to the involvement of our superusers and the design team working closely together," commented Ernesto Morales, Director Information Technology at IMI.

“The Myers-Holum team did a great job listening to the business needs and put tremendous effort in understanding our niche business to ensure IMI found the right solution. NetSuite stood out for its flexibility, and ability to be configured and tailored to meet our specific business needs,” added Morales.

Myers-Holum and IMI worked together to ensure IMI gained the most from their NetSuite software. Oracle NetSuite's announcement is available here: "NetSuite Alliance Spotlight Award Winners: Growth That Spans Industry Sectors” and excerpted below:

Well-positioned for Future Growth

Founded in 1987, International Materials (IMI) is a dry bulk commodity trading company that sources and ships raw materials worldwide. These raw materials are sourced from the mines and producers, loaded on ships IMI charters, and transported directly to customers using their specifications to make construction materials, such as steel, wallboard, and cement. With over 100 employees based across nine global offices, IMI is one of the leading privately-owned, independent, bulk raw materials trading firms in the world.

The company needed an ERP with a single consistent global chart of accounts for all its subsidiaries across multiple currencies and languages. They needed a solution that would accelerate and support their operations by centralizing the contract repository for their suppliers, customers, and freight companies. The solution must allow IMI to establish dashboards to schedule and track deals of different types start to finish as well as reporting to give visibility to their stockpiles all over the world.

For IMI, Myers-Holum implemented NetSuite ERP (including NetSuite Financials, Inventory Management and Service Resource Planning) plus various customizations, data migration, and system integrations. IMI is currently using NetSuite’s record to report, design to build, procure to pay/return to debit, and order to cash/return to credit capabilities, along with the ERP’s trading and logistics capabilities and additional SuiteSolution/SuiteSuccess bundles.

IMI sources and ships to over 60 countries around the globe. Along with its partners and affiliates, the company delivers over 30 million tons of gypsum, clinker, cement, bauxite, iron ore, and other products per year, providing creative and economical real-time solutions to any logistical challenge its customers may face.

With NetSuite, IMI can now better manage its subsidiaries, currencies, chart of accounts, bank transactions, contracts, deal, and trade specific processes. The company is well- positioned for future growth with an ERP in place that supports these layers of complexity.

Omaira Diaz, VP of Operations, said: “The implementation of NetSuite makes possible a single integrated database for all business purposes and allows us to better manage our internal processes. We can avoid errors in customer invoices using standardized templates and formulas, while improving accuracy by automating manual or routine tasks. The NetSuite solution also allows us to streamline the budget process, as well as improve inventory costing allocation and inventory management.”
